Mobile STRIDES Study
✅ Are you an adult who is interested in increasing your physical activity and improving your health?
✅ Do you know other adults in your social circle (friends, family, coworkers, etc.) that are also interested in teaming up with you to be more physically active and healthy no matter where they live in the U.S.?
If so, then Mobile STRIDES (Supportive Teams for Reinforcing Increased Daily Exercise Study), a physical activity promotion study conducted by researchers at the University of South Carolina, may be for you! We are looking for insufficiently physically active adults who would like to participate in an exciting physical activity study that will be delivered entirely online. It will include a FREE Fitbit smartwatch along with access to other features designed to support you and your team members’ commitment to become and stay physically active.
About the study
Thank you for your interest and welcome to the Mobile STRIDES study, a proven physical activity program delivered entirely online! Enrollment is now OPEN.
This study will examine two different approaches to using technology to help teams of people become more physically active. The goal is to determine which approach is more useful for enhancing the effectiveness of an established program that has already been proven to help insufficiently physically active adults lead a physically active lifestyle.
The research program is offered at no cost to teams of volunteers who qualify. Eligible teams of participants receive a 3-month online physical activity program designed by experts that includes the following features:
Personalized physical activity goals
Fitbit wearable physical activity smartwatch for tracking progress towards your physical activity goals
Interactive modules that guide you through making physical activity behavior changes
Online feedback and support
